A. Milkrun Shipments:
1. All Milkrun Deliveries are scheduled based on the week of, according
to the zones of the “ship to” location. The ship
to customer will be notified in advance of the specific delivery
date once the delivery routes have been determined.
2. All deliveries are arranged by the most efficient routes
based on dealer location and order volume.
3. VERY IMPORTANT – If
orders do not make cut off dates and can not
be scheduled for the milkrun in question, three options are available to
the customer:
A) Reschedule on next milkrun,
B) Ship LTL (Common Carrier), or
C) Customer Pickup.
* If LTL is chosen additional crating and freight may be required.
If customer pickup is chosen, any freight charges will be removed
from the invoice.
4. In the event there are not enough orders
from dealers in any given zone to warrant a milkrun delivery
Asta reserves
the right to ship the product via LTL – Common Carrier, FOB
Asta plant using the current common carrier discounted rates
available at the time of shipment at the Distributor’s
expense. Additional expenses may include crating and freight.
* If a customer has one delivery point scheduled and request
an additional delivery point be added, (within a 50 mile radius
location of the original), the second delivery point will require
a Drop Off Fee of $50.00 Minimum. Each additional drop off, (within
a 50 mile radius location of the original), will also require
a $50.00 Drop off Fee.
** Any Drop off Fee location in excess of the 50 mile radius,
will be chargeable at a rate of $1.00 per mile, (one
way), from
previous delivery location for that particular customer.

Damage Policy:
A. It is the customer’s responsibility
to inspect for “Visual Damage” at the time of delivery
prior to unloading. B. The Asta driver will
be responsible for determining whether there is damage to any
material prior to the off-loading of products. The Asta driver
should make all notations of damages and/or shortages on the
Bill of Ladings.C. In the event material needs
to be replaced, the Asta driver will contact the Customer Service
Manager giving the description of damaged material(s), shortages,
etc. At that time, the Customer Service Manager will initiate
a replacement order to be scheduled on the next milkrun.D. In
the event of “Concealed Damages”, you have (3)
days to report the damage to your Customer Service Representative.
Asta Door Corporation is not responsible for unloading merchandise.
Our driver will assist in the unloading process. Proper equipment
is required at the time of unloading.E. In
the event any material is to be returned, the Customer Service
Manager will issue a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) prior
to return of goods, noting mode of shipment for return. No
material is to be returned without proper authorization.F. Back
ordered material will automatically be rescheduled for the
same method of shipment as the original order.
6. Definitions:Visual Damage: Visual damage constitutes the
outer wrap of the door in the rolled up position for shipment, or below 54” of
door curtain (2 bottom panels when unrolled).
Concealed
Damage: Damage not visible at the time of delivery,
usually located above 54” from bottom of door curtain
(above 2 bottom panels).

B. LTL Shipment:
1. Collect Shipment: The Purchaser is responsible for all freight
charges. Asta will provide an estimate based on the common
carriers class, current discount rate, and estimated product
weight. These are estimates only. Actual charges may vary from
the estimated charges.
2. Prepaid Shipment: Asta Door Corporation is responsible for
the freight and related charges until delivered.
3. Third Party Prepayment: Purchaser is responsible for freight
charges. Freight bill will be mailed directly to the company
name, address, city, state, and zip code as indicated on the
bill of lading.
* Crating charges may apply on LTL Shipments. Consult Customer
Service Department for charges.
C. UPS Shipment:
All freight charges referred to as “Shipping & Handling” are
based on current UPS freight rates and Asta packaging cost.
